An Assurex Global Partner Celebrates 40 Years

Nearly one year ago today, Dean & Draper Insurance Agency, a leading insurance broker based in Houston, Texas, became an Assurex Global Partner (officially July 25, 2019).

Last month, the company hit a major milestone – it celebrated its 40th anniversary on June 24.

For four decades now, Dean & Draper has been a leading name in the insurance industry and serves as one of the largest agencies in the state of Texas, with branch locations in College Station, Navasota, and Conroe, Texas, in addition to its headquarters in Houston. It offers commercial and personal insurance lines, top industry-specific solutions, employee benefits, and risk management solutions.

President & CEO Kyle Dean’s father, Bob Dean, filed the official charter for the company in June 1980 along with partner Terry Vaughan, and the company has spent the past 40 years “growing through adversity,” a theme Kyle outlined in a recently-published blog post in honor of the anniversary.

“My forward-thinking strategy for our agency is three-fold: people, technology, and community,” Kyle says.

Even after periods of transition, Kyle writes that everyone at Dean & Draper shares the same vision: “With integrity and trust and by doing things the right way, we have successfully kept our company’s brand recognized and maintained in our relationships in this community, our region, and our industry.”

For the future, Kyle says he will continue to empower his team with the training and tools they need to do their jobs and maintain the culture of the family being the heart of our company.

In 2021, Dean & Draper plans to overhaul its internal systems to improve client service experience even further and deliver additional innovative risk solutions.
