Tim O’Brien is senior vice president, property & casualty for Assurex Global. Tim’s focus is to work closely with the Assurex Global Partners comprising the Private Client Practice Group to further expand its reach across Assurex Global, while also providing oversight for several P&C carrier relationships.

Tim provides Assurex Global with the personal risk management experience he gained while working with three national insurance carriers and Marsh Private Client Services. Tim also introduced the Private Client Services practice at Cook Maran & Associates in East Hampton, New York in 2003.

In recognition of his industry contributions, Tim was awarded the JoAnn Heltibridle Award for Professional Excellence at the AIG Private Client Group’s Risk Management Conference in 2007.

Since 2012, Tim has contributed quarterly Personal Risk Management articles for IRMI, while writing each month since 2008 for Private Risk Advisor, a blog that provides insights on managing the personal property and liability risks of financially successful individuals and families.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio. He resides with his wife Joanne in East Hampton, New York.
