Collier Insurance and EPEGA Assurances Elected as Partners by Assurex Global

COLUMBUS, OHIO – Collier Insurance in Memphis, Tennessee, USA and EPEGA Assurances in Casablanca, Morocco have joined Assurex Global effective July 1, 2021. These firms are now included in the 105 independent brokerages that make up the worldwide partnership.

Assurex Global is working to strategically add several new partner firms in the coming months as it continues to grow and enhance its offerings. Partner firms must meet stringent selection standards, so clients know they’re working with the best when they choose an Assurex Global partner.

Collier Insurance

Collier Insurance was founded in 1911 by James D. Collier, Sr. His sons, Jim and John managed the business well into the 1970s. During the particularly racially turbulent 1960s in Memphis, the brothers introduced, sponsored and trained Fred Davis to become one of the first African American insurance agencies in the country. The third generation of Colliers began joining the firm in 1978; the fourth generation is in place, having started joining the firm in 2008. Third generation Dabney and Stuart Collier lead the family-owned firm today. All growth has been organic, with the exception of one acquisition in 1985. Today, Collier Insurance is still headquartered in Memphis with 49 employees. The firm has grown to become a strong regional broker with a national reach.

EPEGA Assurances

EPEGA Assurances is a consulting insurer founded in 1944, specializing in auditing risks and their coverage in the insurance and reinsurance market in Morocco. EPEGA became a limited company in 1978, with new shareholders registered as the new owner. In 2002 to the group became controlled by current principals Abdelhamid Habboubi and Mouna Medkouri. EPEGA’s portfolio has since multiplied, mostly with organic growth. Acquisitions include four small brokerages.
